It is an exclusive core component for electric buses, electric heavy/light trucks, and large logistics vehicles. It replaces the air compressor driven by the engine in traditional fuel commercial vehicles and provides high-pressure compressed air for the commercial vehicle air brake system. It is a key guarantee for the driving safety of electric commercial vehicles (most passenger cars use hydraulic brakes and do not require this component).
core functionality
Provide brake air source: compress air to high pressure (usually 8-10 bar), store it in the onboard air reservoir, and provide stable high-pressure air source for commercial vehicle air pressure braking and parking braking. When the brake pedal is pressed, the high-pressure air pushes the brake cylinder to achieve vehicle braking;
Auxiliary pneumatic function: providing high-pressure air source for pneumatic doors (buses), pneumatic suspension, and pneumatic unloading devices (logistics heavy-duty trucks) of electric commercial vehicles, meeting the working needs of multiple pneumatic components of commercial vehicles;
Pressure stability regulation: equipped with a pressure controller, real-time monitoring of the pressure in the air storage cylinder, automatic start of air supply when the pressure is insufficient, and shutdown when the pressure meets the standard, achieving dual protection of energy saving and air pressure stability.
