EV Battery Cooling System (BTMS)

The EV Battery Cooling System, also known as BTMS, is an integrated temperature monitoring and active temperature control system designed specifically for power battery packs. Its core function is to stabilize the working temperature of the power battery in the optimal range (25-40 ℃), while ensuring that the temperature difference between each cell in the battery pack is ≤ 5 ℃. It solves the three core problems of battery low-temperature performance degradation, high-temperature thermal runaway, and life loss caused by inconsistent cell temperature differences. It is a key system to ensure the safety, endurance, and life of power batteries, and is also the core subsystem of thermal management for new energy vehicles.

Core Basic Attributes
Core objective: Temperature control (cooling/heating/constant temperature)+Temperature equalization (temperature balance between battery cells)+Monitoring (real-time monitoring of temperature/temperature difference)
Adaptation scenarios: battery charging and discharging, high-speed driving, fast charging, outdoor parking at high and low temperatures, and other all working conditions
Core linkage components: electronic water pump, condenser, electric compressor, PTC heater, heat dissipation plate/water cooling plate
Mainstream cooling methods: The mainstream for cars is liquid cooling (accounting for more than 90%), with a small number of micro cars using air cooling. High end models are equipped with direct cooling

Core application scope: All electric vehicle models
Covering all categories of electrified vehicles such as passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and special vehicles, as long as they include power batteries (pure electric/plug-in hybrid/extended range), they are all standard scenarios for BTMS. Specifically, they are divided into three core categories:
1. Passenger electric vehicles (mainly for household/commuting)
Pure electric passenger vehicles: from micro scooters (such as Wuling Hongguang MINIEV) to mid to high end sedans/SUVs (such as Tesla Model 3/Y, BYD Han/Tang EV), all models come standard with BTMS, which is the core guarantee for the safety and stable range of household electric vehicle batteries;
Plug in/extended range passenger cars, such as the BYD Song PLUS DM-i and Ideal ONE, have engine assisted driving, but the power battery still needs to be charged and discharged. BTMS is also standard to solve the problems of battery charging and discharging heat generation and low low-temperature activity.
2. Commercial electric vehicles (mainly for operation/logistics)
Electric commercial vehicles: electric buses (city buses/scenic area buses), electric heavy-duty trucks/light trucks/box type logistics vehicles, with large battery capacity (often several hundred kWh), high load continuous operation (fast charging, long-distance transportation), higher temperature control requirements, equipped with high-power, high heat dissipation efficiency commercial vehicle exclusive BTMS;
Electric special vehicles: electric sanitation vehicles, electric forklifts, electric delivery vehicles, suitable for all-weather working conditions in urban operations, standard with miniaturized/customized BTMS.
