Operating Principle: The orbiting scroll rotates according to the sequence shown in the diagram, drawing air into the crescent-shaped compression chambers formed between the profiles of the orbiting and fixed scrolls. As the volume of these chambers progressively decreases, the air is ultimately discharged through the central exhaust port, ensuring the purity of the air supply and preventing contamination of the electric vehicle's electronic systems.
Advantages of oil-free scroll air compressors:
1. Utilizes unique floating seal technology to automatically compensate for material wear, ensuring constant flow rates throughout the unit's service life.
2. Offers superior environmental adaptability.
Flow rate decreases by 9–10% for every 1,000-meter increase in altitude, yet the unit remains operational at altitudes up to 7,000 meters.
3. Features non-contact operation between the orbiting and fixed scrolls; noise levels are as low as 55 dB for air-cooled compressor and 49 dB(A) for water-cooled compressor.
Water-cooled models do not rely on surface heat dissipation and can be enclosed in acoustic insulation to further reduce noise to 46 dB(A). With an IP68 protection rating, water coolant scroll compressors can be installed outdoors, resulting in even lower noise levels inside the enclosure.
