Integrated BTMS battery thermal management system completes automotive-grade iteration

Recently, an integrated BTMS (Battery Thermal Management System) designed for new-energy commercial vehicles has completed in-vehicle calibration and validation. It is widely compatible with pure electric heavy-duty trucks, buses, and fuel cell vehicles, providing intelligent temperature control protection for power batteries.

The system features an integrated liquid cooling and heating architecture, utilizing a dual-circuit water loop to achieve dynamic cooling and rapid heating. It maintains the battery pack within an optimal operating temperature range, effectively controlling cell-to-cell temperature differences and eliminating risks of localized hotspots. Equipped with fast preheating and active heat dissipation during fast charging, it supports reliable cold-start performance in extreme low temperatures as well as high-load fast charging in summer conditions. The system achieves a high level of protection against vibration and impact, making it suitable for the harsh operating environments of commercial vehicles—characterized by frequent starts and stops, prolonged heavy loads, and complex road conditions. This helps reduce battery degradation, enhances vehicle range and operational safety, and lowers fleet lifecycle maintenance costs.

Commercial vehicle power batteries face significant load fluctuations and complex operating conditions, where thermal management directly affects vehicle safety, range, and battery lifespan. Traditional simple air-cooling solutions are inadequate under extreme cold, high temperatures, or high-power fast-charging scenarios. The integrated BTMS thermal management solution unifies battery cooling, heating, and thermal equalization functions, ensuring both thermal safety and addressing industry pain points such as winter range reduction and power derating during fast charging. With the large-scale deployment of new-energy heavy-duty trucks and buses, high-performance, highly reliable BTMS systems are transitioning from optional components to essential core configurations in commercial vehicle chassis, playing a crucial role in supporting the commercialization of these vehicles.
