Two Years On Board: The Bus Integrated Heating and Cooling Defroster Wins Strong Market Validation

02
Recently, market reports confirm that our self-developed integrated heating & cooling bus defroster has been in commercial operation for two full years. With reliable performance and excellent dual-function capability, the product has achieved large-scale deployment across city buses, coaches and tourist buses, earning consistently positive market feedback.
All-in-One Solution: Heating, Cooling and Defrosting
This integrated HVAC defroster combines heating, cooling and defrosting functions in a single unit, eliminating the limitations of traditional single-function defrosters.
In heating mode, it delivers 8–10 kW of heat output with high-efficiency PTC elements reaching over 95% thermal efficiency, rapidly defrosting the windshield even in –30°C extreme cold to ensure driving visibility. In cooling mode, it provides approximately 5 kW of cooling capacity, effectively lowering the driver's area temperature for a comfortable working environment.
The unit is equipped with 3–5 adjustable air outlets and multi-speed fan control, delivering up to 700 m³/h airflow to balance defrosting speed and comfort.
Two Years of Field-Proven Reliability
"Over the past two years, we have continuously tracked operational data from hundreds of vehicles, and the overall failure rate remains well below the industry average," said the company's technical director. "The product has performed stably whether in prolonged winter operation in northern cold regions or summer cooling under hot and humid southern conditions."
The defroster features an all-aluminum heat exchanger for corrosion resistance and durability, with a designed service life exceeding 10,000 hours. Electrical components are fitted with waterproof and flame-retardant connectors, meeting safety requirements under complex bus operating conditions.
Lightweight Design, Easy Installation and Maintenance
Designed for both new vehicle OEM fitment and retrofit applications, the product features a compact, integrated design weighing only 8–12 kg, with flexible mounting options to fit various dashboard layouts. Its modular structure also simplifies post-sales maintenance, effectively reducing fleet operating costs.
Industry analysts note that as the penetration rate of new energy buses continues to rise, integrated heating & cooling defrosters are becoming the industry standard. Two years of market validation not only prove the product's maturity but also provide valuable real-world data for future upgrades. The company stated it will continue to deepen its presence in thermal management, launching more efficient and reliable product solutions around customer needs.
