The main function of automotive electric water pump
Promote coolant circulation: The automotive electric water pump drives the coolant to circulate inside the engine, extracting hot water from the engine and injecting cold water to maintain the engine temperature within an appropriate range. This process ensures that the engine will not be damaged due to overheating during operation.
Assist with thermostat operation: The automotive electric water pump works in conjunction with the thermostat to regulate the circulation path of the cooling water based on the engine temperature. When the engine temperature is low, the thermostat closes and the cooling water only circulates inside the engine; When the temperature reaches a certain level, the thermostat opens and the water pump pumps hot water into the radiator, which is then cooled by the fan during vehicle operation.
Maintain stable engine operation: The normal operation of the water pump ensures that the engine can maintain a stable temperature under various working conditions, avoiding performance degradation or damage caused by excessive temperature.
