Our high voltage PTC bus defroster is a professional heating device independently developed for new energy passenger vehicles, perfectly matching 400V, 600V and 800V high-voltage DC power platforms of electric buses, tourist coaches, hybrid buses and fuel cell vehicles. Equipped with an integrated built-in blower, this dry-type heating unit can produce stable hot air within seconds after startup, efficiently melting frost and ice on the front windshield and removing inner window fog caused by temperature difference and humid air. It guarantees clear driving vision for drivers in frigid winter environments and greatly improves driving safety, fully meeting international vehicle defrost safety standards.
The core heating component adopts PTC ceramic heating elements with self-limiting temperature characteristics. Unlike traditional resistance wire heaters, it will not overheat or turn red even under long-term operation. Its thermal conversion efficiency exceeds 95%, realizing constant temperature heating and effectively cutting down power consumption to save the vehicle’s battery power and extend winter driving range. Multiple safety protection mechanisms are embedded inside the unit, including high voltage interlock, overheat protection, overcurrent cut-off and fan linkage protection. The heating circuit will be automatically disconnected once the fan stops working or the internal temperature exceeds the safe threshold, eliminating hidden dangers of dry burning and fire.
This product mainly serves 6m to 18m new energy buses. It undertakes two core functions: windshield defrosting & defogging, and auxiliary heating for the driver’s cabin, solving the heating blank of electric vehicles without engine waste heat. Besides the dry integrated model shown in the pictures, we also supply water heating integrated defrosters that can link with the vehicle thermal management system to preheat power batteries at low temperatures.
The whole shell is made of thickened anti-rust metal plate with precise heat dissipation holes, featuring good shock resistance and corrosion resistance to adapt to bumpy road conditions and cold, humid, salt spray working environments. We provide full OEM customization services, including adjustable heating power, different numbers of air outlets, and modified overall sizes to fit various bus chassis layouts.
