Product Description
New Energy Vehicle Electronic Water Pump (Electronic Coolant Pump/EWP)
The electronic water pump is a core actuating component in the thermal management systems of new energy vehicles. Driven by a brushless DC (BLDC) motor and independent of engine belts, its speed is regulated by the vehicle's VCU or TCU based on temperature signals. It circulates coolant to facilitate the cooling and heating of battery packs, drive motor/power electronics units, and heat pump circuits; a typical battery electric vehicle (BEV) is equipped with two to four such pumps.
Its Core Functions:
1. Traction Battery Circuit: Manages battery cooling and low-temperature preheating to maintain cells within the optimal operating range of 15–35°C, thereby ensuring fast-charging capability, slowing degradation, and mitigating thermal runaway risks.
2. Motor & Power Electronics Circuit: Cools the drive motor and inverter (IGBT) components to prevent power derating due to overload or component burnout.
3. Heat Pump/PTC Heating Circuit: Facilitates cabin heating and waste heat recovery circulation; the heat pump system relies on the electronic water pump to circulate the heat transfer fluid.

1. A DC brushless motor, comprising a rotor assembly (including the impeller assembly) and a stator housing assembly (including the isolation sleeve and rear bearing housing assembly).
2. A controller (PCB assembly) for communicating with the main control unit and controlling the DC brushless motor.
3. A pump cover for connecting to the vehicle, engine, and cooling system.
4. A brushless motor rear cover, including a wiring assembly for connection to the vehicle.
