Electric Vehicle Coolant Pump 12 Volt Coolant Pump Automotive
Product Description
Our EV Coolant Pump, also known as electric automotive water pump and battery coolant electrical pump, is a core component for new energy vehicle battery thermal management systems (BTMS), electric motor cooling, inverter and power electronics cooling circuits.
Different from traditional belt-driven mechanical pumps, our brushless electric coolant pump runs independently of motor RPM, supporting intelligent variable speed control via PWM / LIN / CAN signal. It dynamically adjusts coolant flow on demand to maintain the battery pack within the optimal working temperature range during charging, discharging and high-load operation, effectively preventing overheating, thermal runaway and uneven temperature distribution, extending battery cycle life and improving vehicle driving range and fast-charging performance.
Built with a sealed canned-motor structure, this **battery coolant electrical pump** features low noise, low vibration, high efficiency and long service life. It reaches high waterproof & dustproof grade, with comprehensive protection functions including dry-run protection, locked-rotor protection, over-voltage, under-voltage and reverse polarity protection, adapting to harsh working conditions of electric passenger cars, electric buses, electric heavy trucks and fuel cell vehicles.
Our electric automotive water pumps cover multiple voltage specifications and flow options, supporting customized interfaces, mounting structures and communication protocols for OE manufacturers and system integrators. Strictly validated under automotive-grade reliability standards, these EV coolant pumps deliver stable, consistent coolant circulation for BTMS, HVAC and auxiliary cooling loops, helping you build safer, more efficient and more reliable electric vehicle thermal management solutions.

Product Parameter
The electric water pump primarily consists of a brushless motor, an impeller, a pump housing, and an electronic control board.
The electronic control board receives signals from the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) or temperature sensors to drive the brushless motor, which in turn rotates the impeller. The impeller circulates coolant through the cooling circuits for the electronic control unit and the motor, thereby dissipating heat. The system adjusts the motor speed based on real-time component temperatures—thereby modulating coolant flow—to achieve on-demand cooling; the motor runs at low speeds or stops completely when temperatures are low, resulting in energy savings.
